Zumba Samba Pants

A great way to spice things up in the way of your routine exercise regimen is to add something new. Whether it is a new to the fitness industry or and oldie, mixing things up helps in the area of keeping the motivation going. Something that is relatively new to the fitness world is Zumba. Zumba is Latin inspired aerobic workout that is available on DVD or at the gym. It can be categorized as Salsa, Rock and Roll, belly dancing, Samba, dancercise and more all rolled up in one. The one thing about the Zumba music that disappoints me is the words in the music, one in particular, which is zumbafitness, give incorrect fitness information. According to its commercial, the song uses works such as "Burn up to 100o calories an hour or the one that says guaranteed to lose pant or dress size in ten days or your money back. Because we are all different those statement cannot be accurate. In addition, it will take some one to exert a great amount of intensity in a workout session to burn 1000 calories an hour. I understand about marketing ploys and people wanting to promote their product, but I also feel that there need to be some level of responsibility when you are making statements like "it is a bio-mechanically designed work-out targeting the upper body. There should be scientific evidence from a trained professional in the field in order to back that statement up.

The title of this article is Basics vs. Trends, which refers to the fact that we should stay with the basics such as working out regularly and eating right as opposed to jumping on every diet or workout craze that comes around. Things that state guarantees in the area of weight loss always raise a red flag with me. There are actually no guarantees with weight loss because what works for one person may not work for another.

On the other hand if you feel that dance would be a tool that can motivate you to exercise that Zumba is an effective and action packed dance workout that if followed correctly will help you get a powerful workout. I like to stick with my old workouts for the most part but every once in a while a Zumba workout is actually fun and interesting to join in on.
