Zumba: How it all began
Like many great things, Zumba was created by accident. As all aerobics instructors have experienced at some point, Beto Perez shot off to teach an aerobics class only to find he had forgotten his music. He was left with only one option and that was to improvise his aerobics class using a variety of his own music tapes which he was carrying in his backpack at the time.
Growing up with merengue and salsa around him, Beto used these dance styles to create a very different dance-fitness class. He disregarded the traditional concept of aerobics where counting in reps takes you through the song and placed more focus on letting the music move you where we don't count, we just feel our way through the each phrase of music.
This massively energetic class has become a worldwide phenomenon and people are can't stop smiling as they ditch the workout and join the party. Classes originally started in Miami but can now be found all over the world and there are even Zumba classes in Cardiff. To find your nearest Cardiff Zumba class, all you have to do is look around you. There are classes everywhere pointing you to the nearest Zumba class in Cardiff. Wherever you are in the world, find your class, it is a great way to work out and lose weight whilst having fun!
I'd highly recommend Zumba to anyone looking for a fun and effective routine to get fit!! Since starting to participate in Cardiff Zumba classes and employing a Cardiff Personal Trainmer to do resistance work, my body fat has dropped to less than 10%. These two form of Cardiff exercise compliment each other fantastically.
